We are pleased to share a major update on the dissemination activities for the SAUST project! From February 24th to 27th, 2026, the SAUST project was prominently featured at SICUR 2026, the International Security Exhibition held at IFEMA in Madrid.

As Spain’s flagship security event, SICUR served as the ultimate platform to connect with the entire security ecosystem, bringing together large corporations, agile SMEs, public administrations, and practitioners from various Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs). With the event drawing over 47,000 professionals from 83 countries, the visibility achieved for SAUST was unparalleled.

Inside the Guardia Civil Institutional Stand

The Guardia Civil hosted a dedicated institutional space where members of the Technological Innovation Service actively engaged with attendees to showcase the SAUST project through several key initiatives:

  • Multimedia Showcases: A continuous looped video broadcasted EU-funded projects, spotlighting SAUST’s mission and objectives.

  • Interactive Materials: Spread across the stand were tailored dissemination materials and table tent cards equipped with QR codes, offering visitors instant digital access to comprehensive project insights.

  • Direct Expert Engagement: Personnel from the Technological Innovation Service provided first-hand explanations, fielding technical questions and discussing the project's real-world impact directly with the public.

The reach was incredibly diverse, engaging industry leaders, public authorities, local and national end-users, as well as inspiring the next generation through university and secondary school students.

Expanding Horizons: Strategic Networking

Beyond stand interactions, the Guardia Civil actively participated in the “Introduction to the 2026 Cluster 3 Call and Pitching” event. This session opened the door to high-value bilateral meetings with specialized companies and stakeholders in the security sector. These encounters significantly boosted SAUST's profile within both the Horizon Europe Cluster 3 and Cluster 4 innovation communities.

Leadership and Digital Transformation

The event also highlighted structural growth. Interviews broadcasted during the exhibition featured the Captain of our Technological Innovation Service—which now reports to the newly established Digital Transformation and Cybersecurity Headquarters. In these sessions, he introduced the capabilities of the new Headquarters and invited international attendees to explore how projects like SAUST are shaping the future of security.
