A 500 kg cocaine seizure at Luxembourg Airport underscores the critical need for advanced screening technologies capable of detecting illicit substances efficiently and accurately.

The SAUST EU-funded Project is addressing these challenges by developing high-resolution vapor screening technology. This system is designed to enhance detection precision, reduce false positives, and support faster, more reliable baggage inspections, contributing to a safer travel experience for all passengers.

Through these innovations, SAUST is helping to shape the future of airport security, ensuring airports are better equipped to handle increasingly sophisticated smuggling methods.
