Swiss National Charged After 25kg of Cocaine Allegedly Seized from Lugage

Border security continues to be a critical challenge worldwide, with law enforcement agencies constantly working to detect and prevent the trafficking of illegal substances.


A recent incident at Melbourne Airport highlights the ongoing need for vigilance. Australian Border Force (ABF) officers seized 25 kg of cocaine from a Swiss traveler’s luggage. The 21-year-old passenger, arriving from Los Angeles on January 3, 2025, was selected for a routine baggage check, and initial tests confirmed the substance as cocaine. Read more here.
