Enhancing Border Security: Detecting Concealed Substances

Border security remains a global challenge, requiring constant innovation to detect and prevent the smuggling of illegal substances.


Recently, Australian Border Force (ABF) officers at Brisbane Airport intercepted a 33-year-old U.S. national attempting to import 2.2 kg of cocaine into Queensland. The drugs were concealed in shampoo and conditioner bottles and discovered after a drug detection dog alerted officers. Preliminary tests confirmed the presence of cocaine, and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) were called in to investigate. Read more here.
